Description
This is an OSHA-compliant, I-CAB recognized safety training course intended for new employees cleaning up hazardous chemicals. Topics covered in this training include regulations & overview, site characterization, site monitoring, hazard recognition, toxicology, hazard communication, material handling, excavation, confined space, fall protection, lockout/tagout, hazardous location, personal protective equipment, medical surveillance, fire prevention, and emergency procedures. This course meets the classroom requirement for occupational safety training. It also includes a proficiency checklist that employers can use to perform a practical evaluation. Upon completion, trainees will be able to download and print a certificate or wallet card to show that they have completed HAZWOPER 40 Hour OSHA Training.

NOTE: Only an employer can designate an employee as certified. Certification requirements can vary by state or province. Check local standards for any additional occupational training requirements.
